Pre-Nuit Blanche Larklamp Shadow Arcade
Pre- Nuit Blanche Larklamp Shadow Arcade
featuring Montreal based game designer P.D. Warne
Saturday Sept 30th 8 - 10pm
Get your Nuit Blanche started at Gallery 555 from 8 - 10pm with Lumo Amuzo's Shadow Arcade featuring Larklamp – the world's first Magic Lantern Game system. Game boards made of shadows are cast from patterns cut into the lantern’s removable side-panels, as players gather around to play on beams of light.
This evening we will be featuring the new Larklamp experience, The Glimmer Mill - a cooperative oracle game where players work together to mine the shadows of the subconscious in order to rescue spirits trapped in a spinning labyrinth of dream.
The Larklamp will be available for purchase at the event and is available online: https://lumoamuzo.com/
About P.D Warne
P.D.Warne is the founder of Lumo Amuzo and the creator behinds its flagship Larklamp Magic Lantern Game System.
Quite literally inspired by a dream, he set out in 2015 to make his own products, applying artistry and craftsmanship to 15 years of game design experience. Before launching Lumo Amuzo, P.D. Warne worked for Lucas, Double Fine, Hololabs and Ubisoft studios.
Warne's Lumo Amuzo studio is located in Montreal, where production is intentionally kept at a small scale—almost everything is made by hand in-house.
By committing to manufacturing small batches and adapting our techniques to suit the requirements of each individual game, we're able to incorporate more community input into our process and have fun while we do it!
